Amazing Restraint!

Earlier today, I was in Crate and Barrel and I saw these plates.

Last night, I was sewing on my latest project, which included this fabric.

O...M...G...I cannot tell you how long I stood there, in Crate and Barrel, admiring the plates, thinking of fabric being transformed into placemates, napkins, etc...

Someway, somehow, I tapped into super-human strength...set the plate down, turned on my heel and immediately left the store.  I know that I'm not out of danger yet...my BFF will be visiting this week and shopping is on our list of activities!  Wish me luck!

These past 3 weeks have been consumed by WORK.  Hopefully, soon, I can get back to my sewing machine to finish this "Baby I Do" for my tiny new neighbor...

And this...which will be an "Oh Fransson!" Nine-Patch Lattice when she grows up...all pink and yellow and orange for a sweet little girl...

and when I'm done with Baby I Do and Nine-Patch Lattice...

these Amy Butler scraps are destined to be cut into strips, paper-pieced and transformed into Elizabeth Hartman's Valentine quilt from The Practical Guide to Patchwork.  Can't wait to get started!

  1. I am so sad that you showed me the Central Park plates. I must have some. They are gorgeous!!! Love how you have your projects lined up! I do the very same thing, and then life gets in the way!
