Shopping!!!

I confess, I've been a bad girl.  I had been really pretty good...resisting the urge to buy fabric and focusing on finishing projects that I've already invested in (time, money or thought)...but...

I made the mistake of dropping by Prairie Point in Shawnee during the KC Shop Hop. They had the most wonderful samples of quilts and placemats, napkins, tablerunners, etc...made with Gypsy Bandana by Pillow and Maxfield. After 45 minutes of deliberation, I settled on these three prints and a pattern to make placemats and napkins for my Mother In Law for Mother's Day.  As if I really need another project to get done.  Oh yeah...and I'll be out of town from May 3rd through the 8th.  I know what I'll be working on this weekend!

On my birthday, I took the day off and headed up to The Quilt Shoppe in Stewartsville, MO. I was in the mood for some blues and purples and I KNEW that there would be plenty of Tula Pink's Parisville in stock.  I hadn't caught the Parisville bug...but after visiting the shop and admiring all of the absolutely gorgeous quilts I am in LOVE with Parisville.  I was able to restrain my self for the most part...wouldn't you agree? It was great fun to visit with Whitney and Angela too!

And last but not least...a quick stop in Harper's where I picked up an "insurance" quilt kit. My current "Baby I Do" project has been dubbed "the Quilt From Hell". Every step has been a challenge.  I have no idea why...it is a simple pattern that I've made before but it's just been a challenge.  At this point, the quilting is done, I just need to label and bind it.  So...assuming that I don't ruin the QFH between now and then, these little treasures will find a loving home in my stash.

That's all for now!  I'll check in with you again soon!
